The lineage we follow at Soul Room is Sri Vidya Tantra and a mixture of both Mishra and Samaya Tantra schools. The masters of this tradition include the current head of the Himalayan Institute Pandit Rajmani Tiganuait, Swami Rama, Bengali Baba, Adi Shankara, Patanjali, Buddha and the Sage Kapila. Sri Vidya’s scriptural roots reach back to the Atharva Veda, however the line of direct transmission travels back further. By the grace of the Tradition and the great masters we are receiving the blessing of these teachings and it is through their guidance that we are here to evolve ourselves and carry this lineage forward. 

The oral tradition is based on the unbroken living experience of masters, who for thousands of years have passed on their knowledge through Parampara, meaning ‘from teacher to student.' The oral tradition suggests that Tantra existed long before any tantric texts were written. The teaching however, were only ever communicated verbally and through direct transmission, in order to protect them. 

The Buddhist teachings derive from the Theravada Lineage - the oldest of the existing Buddhist lineages.
